Paint or Spray the Town!

Hi All! Sorry this is getting up late, I accidentally had it scheduled for tomorrow or some such nonsense and couldn't fix it til I got home from work....now on with the show!

It's time for another fabulous Bombshell's Blog Hop! This month's theme is Bombshell Blog: "Paint the Town"! Use paints or sprays with your Bombshell stamps to create a project. I use Koi Tattoo for my project:

I sprayed several different colors of Perfect Pearl in the background (Blue Patina, Green Patina and Blue Raspberry) and got it very wet with each color and then I let them "run around". It has a kind of scaly look I quite like. I also took my swirly background stamp and inked it up with some London Fog Memento ink but I didn't put it on a block and just sort of smashed it down, so it sort of missed in a few places, which was what I wanted. I sprayed it with some Goose Bumps to give it a little extra texture. (unfortunately, no matter how I took the pic, you couldn't see it...grrrr)

Now it's your turn to join in the fun! Hop along with us and get some inspiration, and remember to leave some love! :-)

It's Tiki Time!

Hi All!

It's Muse Monday at Bombshell Stamps - our feature "Tiki Party"! I love these little guys, they're so cute! They're absolutely perfect for my little project. I created a 6x6 scrapbook page for my daughter's little album from the Father Daughter Dance this year which was themed Hawaiian Luau! I was so excited - it gave me the perfect excuse to make a scrapbook page for a change. No Copics were harmed in the making of this page....because I didn't use ANY. That's right, I didn't color anything for a change.

I used those cute little tiki dudes everywhere. They're in the background on both the pink and purple, plus I found this great wood looking paper (by DCWV) stamped them and cut them out for embellishments. The bamboo poles stamped on the orange are also from the set.

Check out the Bombshell Blog for some more inspiration. And don't forget this fun set is currently on sale until the end of this month - BONUS!

Patriotic Pin-Up

Hi All!

The 4th of July may be over, but that doesn't mean I can't created some more fabulous patriotic stuff! Meet Patriotic Pin-Up Sassy  - now available at Sassy Studio Designs. I love anything patriotic and I don't have a whole lot of stamps I can color that scream it - but this one does. She's a real firecracker!

I used Distress Stains (Salty Ocean, Festive Berries and Silver) to create the background. I thought the splats looked sort of like fireworks. Ms. Sassy is Colored with Copics using E000, E01, E02, E97, E11, YR14, E08, R24, R27, R29, B02, B04, B06, Y23, Y26 and Y28.

Patriotic Amelia

Hi All!

I decided to try a little experiment, no line coloring. I've seen this done a lot here lately and I adore how it looks. I used the new "Amelia School Girl" by Scrapper's Delights for my project:

I colored her with Copics (of course!) using  E000, E01, E02, E11, E51, E53, E55, E57, E15, E17, E19, R24, R27, R29, V28, B24, B26, B28, B000, N5, N7, N9 markers. (yes, I actually remembered the colors!) The print paper and stickers are all Bo Bunny and the pearl flourishes which are also colored with Copics (R29) are by Recollections.

I'm really please with how she turned out -it's harder than it looks but sooooo worth it!

I'd like to enter Amelia in the following challenges:

Simply Challenged Challenges - Red, White and Blue

OMG!

Hi All!

I thought I'd share this bright new image by Sassy Studio Designs with you today - TinkerSassy! I think Tink is pretty sassy already - but now she's even more so!

Apparently, I have a fixation with green here the last couple of projects.  She's a digi image of course, so I traced her wings onto some acetate, cut them out and Stickled them. I like the more transparent look on fairy wings. The print paper is Bo Bunny and the "OMG" sentiment is a Studio G stamp.

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring a couple of great challenges, both are fantasy themed. One is at Glitter N Sparkle and the other is Hobbycutz. Check them out and create your own fantasy themed project!

I'd also like to enter this in the following challenges:

Star Spangeld Bombshell

Hi All!

I wanted to quickly share fun Red, White and Blue theme Ms. July has chosen at Bombshell Stamps for this month. I love anything patriotic anyway, so it was an especially fun challenge for me.

I used Bombshell Angel for my image and yes she's MOSTLY colored with Copics. I actually paper pieced her "swimsuit" from some Bo Bunny Paper. The background is a nifty Tim Holtz Technique using a Texture Fade and his patriotic set. The washi tape is by Darice.

Now it's your turn - make a red, white and blue creation using a Bombshell Stamp and add your link on the Bombshell blog for your chance to be a winnah!

Happy July 4th! (Again)

New Release

Hi All!

Goodness, this summer is flying by! I can't believe we're halfway thru the year as well! Yikes!

Anyway - we've got some gorgeous mew releases from Scrapper's Delights today. I'm using Alina Fairy for my project, but there's several others available as well. You'll have to hop along and check them all out!

Alina is colored with Copics - I inspired by the dress Lilly Collins wore in Mirror, Mirror, I loved the blue and that big orange bow! I also used a Stardust pen on her wings to give them some shimmer. The pearls on her outfit are colored with Copics to match her outfit and the flourish is a Memory Box die.

So. Adorable. You know you need them! Check out the Scrapper's Delights store for these new images as well as other fabulous images perfect for your cards and scrapbooks! And to help make your purchase decison easier, here's a coupon to help you out, good thru the end of the month:
