Tutorial Time!

Hi All!

In keeping with Ms. June's "Be Clear" theme for this month, I have a quick, cool little tutorial to share with you today using alcohol inks and acrylic.

Here's what you'll need:
Adirondack Alcohol Inks, Adirondack Metallic Additive, blending tool with felt pad, a piece of clear acrylic or an acrylic card, the stamp of your choice and a craft sheet wouldn't hurt - especially if you're messy like I am. And of course pick out a Bombshell stamp set! I used Koi Tattoo.

First, shake up the additive well and put some of that in the center of the pad, then add the other colors you'd like to use - on the same pad.

Next, take the blending tool and sort of "stamp" it all over the acrylic sheet, covering it completely. Move it around in different directions and don't worry if you go over parts several times.

Let it dry, which won't take long and if you like, you can go over it again to touch up or make it darker.

Stamp and color up your image and add it to the acrylic card. You can use pop-dots, and I've not had any trouble using my Tombow adhesive. If you want to stamp a sentiment, I'd use Stayz On. You can also add a piece of cardstock to the inside to write on.

Tadda! Simple and not too messy. (Like that would stop me!) Hope you enjoyed and will give it a try yourself!

I used Sacred Heart and Banner Sayings for my images, colored in Copics. The background flames are several layers of different colored Black Magic Core'dinations cardstock embossed with a flame embossing folder by Darice, then sanded.. The metal wings are Tim Holtz for Ideaology which I went over with a bit of white ink to highlight. There's little bit of everything there - lots of layers and textures!

Life is the Bubbles

Hi All!

Quick someone help! I have "Under the Sea" stuck in my head! Eeek! Sorry, but the whole time I worked on this project I had Sebastian singing in my brain. If you haven't guessed, this week's theme for Dare to be Sassy Thursday is Disney Princess - use a Disney Princess or Villain in your project. How easy is that? And Lindsay, just had a new release of new Disney Chicks! I used Ariel Pinup. She still has her legs, so this must be after Ursula took her voice LOL!

I colored Ariel and the background in Copics. The background is an older image from Sassy Studio that I had that has since been retired, but I had to use it! I went a little pearl happy too as you can see.

So... you're going to join in on the fun right? Of course you are because there's a prize involved! Create something gorgeous using a Disney Sassy and add your project to the linkz at the bottom of the Dare to be Sassy Thursday post. You could be the next winner!

A Girl Can Dream

Hi All!

I put together a little sumthin', sumthin' for my friends at Scrapper's Delights. Have I mentioned how much I adore these images?! Let me just say it again... I adore these images! The anime style characters are my absolute favs. This image is Homura Angel 4, I believe the file contains the image with and without wings, but really, why wouldn't you want the wings - she's so sweet with them.

She's colored with Copics - I tried to make her as anime as possible. I used clear and lavender Spica pens on her wings. The print paper is Konnichiwa by Basic Grey.

Make sure you stop by Scrapper's Delights and check out all the other gorgeous images Janice has created!

I'd also like to enter her in the following challenges:

Hi All!

Here's June's Sketch!
Feel free to flip it, flop it, and make it your own. The only rules are to have fun and to use Bombshell Stamps when creating your project.

Here's my take:

I know, she's up on the Bombshell's blog, as it should be. I wanted to give her her own day, it's been a busy week! Peek-A-Boo Geisha (digi) is colored with Copics and I used that fabulous Birdsong paper by Graphic45.

So, remember to use a Bombshell Stamp and share your creation by adding your image to the linkz at the Bombshell blog post.

I'd like to enter her in the following challenges:

Talk Nerdy To Me!

Hi All!

I wanted to share this fun card that I will be doing for our next Copic Class at Scrap 'N Friends. We'll be using a digi stamp from Sassy Studio Designs - France Honey. A special thank you to Lindsay (the fab artist behind the Sassy Studio Collections).  The Talk Nerdy To Me sentiment is by Unity Stamps. I saw it and had to have it - it's too cute and those glasses brads are to die for!

We'll be using A LOT of Blue greens obviously. Here's the list of what I used on this project:

E000*, E01*, E02*, E51*, E53*, E55*, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, R22*. (*) Denotes colors we've used in class before. Our main focus will be her hair.

There's still room to join us! Class is Tuesday, June 11 at either 12:30 or 6:00 p.m. and it's only $4! Give us a buzz at Scrap 'N Friends - 833-2600 to sign up.

I Can See Clearly

Hi All!

School if officially over here for this year (already?)! Now I get to work on some summer projects one of which always includes trying to get my studio tidy and organized - it's a dream I know. One of these days I'll have a spot bigger than a 12x12 on my drawing board to work on. LOL (no really).

Anywho, summery things is what I used for Ms. June's Bombshell Challenge "Be Clear". She challenges you to use acetate or vellum with your Bombshell stamps to create a fabulous project.

I used Mermaid Treasure for my image, the print paper is by Bo Bunny. I used alcohol inks in blues and greens to create a colored acetate card. There's also some clear Dew Drops and Viva Decor transparent for some bubble action. I love the "Check out the booty" sentiment.

Make sure you stop by the Bombshell Blog and check out at the fabulousness that the rest of the gals have created as well as link up you creation!
