Inspire A Smile

Hi All!

I'm feeling like Spring (I know it's here somewhere), so I decided to take my sweet little Pixie Corner doll from the Pixie Corner Collection and create something cheery for my first official Design Team post on Scrapper's Delights.

I tried something a little different with her - I wanted her to have somewhat see thru wings. So, I printed her out twice. Once on Express Blending cardstock and once on an inject printable transparent sheet. I colored the transparent wings a bit with some B00 and B01 so there's a tiny bit of tinting to it.

The print paper is Basic Grey, Tim Holtz stickers for the sentiment and some paper flowers by Petaloo which I colored to match my pixie.

Thanks for stopping by!

I'd also like to enter her in the following challenges:
Challenges for Everybody - Anything Goes
Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog - Cute
Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

Practically Perfect

Hi All!

I created this thinking about Mother's Day. Yes, I know it's a little ways off yet, but holy cow this year has just been flying by! I used Mary Poppins by Sassy Studio Designs, because she's "Practically perfect in every way". Check out all the sassy designs available - especially the new Oz collection!

I colored Ms. Poppins with Copics and did my fun new favorite thing by adding some stippling behind her. The measuring tape is washi fabric tape by Petaloo.

I would like to enter my creation in the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

Bombshell's Blog Hop - Stencil It In!

Hi All!

It's time to announce this month's Bombshell Stamps Blog Hop theme..."Stencil It In!" This month, We'd like like for you to use a stencil and your Bombshell stamps to create a project. Don't have any stencils? Create your own by free-hand cutting, die cutting, or punching an opening in cardstock or acetate and use the negative space as a stencil! Just look around your home...I'm sure you have all sorts of cool items that can be used as a stencil.

I used a stencil by Tattered Angels and some Perfect Pearls Mists to create my background. I used the butterflies from the Butterfly Queen set and colored them with....you guessed it! Copics!

Lucky

Hi All!

I know St. Patrick's Day is over, well technically, I did do this project on St. Patrick's Day. Does that count? Anyway, I on an Oz kick thanks to Lindsay and her fab designs in the Sassy Studio Designs new release so I used Oz the Great and Powerful herself in this one. Yes, herself. I like she made Oz a chic. :-)

She does look a little off kilter, but I really surprised I could get it to stay still without rolling away. Actually her outfit has more of a greenish tint in person. Unfortunately, I couldn't get things to cooperate. I know, gripe, gripe, gripe. I used my Wizard of Oz Graphic 45 paper once again (love it!), can't be helped, it's the perfect green. I colored her with Copic and tried something a little different with her hat and clothes. (Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" was stuck in my head the whole time I was working on this. Anyway...) I started out coloring them with C5, C7 and then I used G99 and C9 then blended it all together and then went over the entire outfit etc. with G21. I think it has a sort of flannel look to it now. Her skin is E00, E02 and E11; hair is C9, C7, B24 and B000. Look at that! I remembered.

I'd like to enter her in the following challenges:
Fetch-a-Sketch Challenge 46
Speedy Fox and Friends - Green
Digi Galore - St. Patrick's Day
Sandy's Crafty Creations - Anything Goes using Shades of Green
The Crafter's Cafe - Green and/or St. Patrick's Day

Well that's it for now - Happy Belated St. Patty's Day!

Follow The Yellow Brick Road - Sunday Edition

Hi All!

I hope you got a chance to check out the fabulous work in yesterday's edition of the Sassy Studio Designs new release blog hop. Today we have a new batch (I sound like I'm talking about Gremlins!) If you haven't guessed, the theme of the release is "The Great and Powerful Oz" and Lindsay did a beautiful job capturing the characters. I got to work with Evanora - the Wicked Witch of the East. Although I haven't had the chance to see the movie yet, I tried to get her as right as possible.

She's colored with Copic and I got to use my Graphic 45 Wizard of Oz paper! I'm soooo excited. I got it because  well, it's Graphic 45. I had no idea really what I was going to use it for (this seems to happen more and ore lately LOL). The jewel in the center of the bow is Close To My Heart and I colored it with a G16 to match everything.

Now make sure you leave a comment and follow the yellow brick road to check out the rest of the team's creations - you could win an image yourself!

Hi All!

Okay, I have to say I'm totally over the whole winter thing now, can we please move on to Spring already!? In the spirit of thinking Spring, used Briar Rose Honey

The print paper is by 3 Bugs in a Rug, cardstock is Core'dinations, she's colored with Copics using E71, E74, E77, E50, E51, E53, E000, E01, E02, E11, E40, E42, E44, N5, N7, N9, Y11, Y23, E13, E55, B02, B04, B06. Shew! And I didn't even have to look at my color chart!

I also wanted to remind everyone that there's a new release blog hop today and I am participating in tomorrow's for Sassy Studio Designs. Crusin' By

Hi All!

It's time for the Bombshell Stamps Sketch Challenge! Here's this month's sketch:

                              http://monstergirl.net/BombshellStampsFORUM/download/file.php?id=1678&mode=view

The rules:
• Feel free to flip it, flop it, and make it your own.
• Use Bombshell Stamps!
• Upload your take on the sketch here by March 31st for a chance to win a fabulous prize.
• Check out the Bombshell Blog on the second Wednesday of the month. Upload your take on the sketch there and double your chances to win!!!
• Have fun!!!

Here's my take using Vintage Raceway:

I colored the car with Copics, used self adhesive foil tape, and the printed paper is by Scrappin' Sports. The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set rearranged. Bombshell Stamps has all sorts of great car and motorcycle stamps - perfect for cards, etc. for the dude in your life! Check 'em out.

I also have a little tease for Sassy Studio Designs - we're having a new release blog hop Saturday and Sunday, March 16th and 17th. Here's a little snipet of one of the images...

Hmmm...who do you think it is? Stay tuned for more sneaky peeks!

Enjoy! And Until Next Time!

Sassy Villian

Hi All!

That's right... I'mmmm baaaaccck! I have a little jewel here to share - this is something I've not done before. An ATC. I know big deal, it's just a little card instead of a big one (it's only 2.5x3.5). Well, when you're getting old and have to wear cheaters to color small things it is LOL! I enjoyed it though.

I call her "Hot Ursula", but she's really Ursula Pin-Up. I inked some Sticky Back Canvas with Distress Inks for her background, used some fine Flowersoft for the sand and small clear Dew Drops for the bubbly bits. Anyone want to trade?

Challenges I'd like to enter this piece in:
Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog - http://wickedwednesdayatc.blogspot.com/
The Cheerful Stamp Pad - http://cheerfulstamppad.blogspot.com/
The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog - http://cutiepiechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

Intoduce Yourself Blog Hop

Hi All!

I have several fun little tidbits for you! You may have noticed I have a few new little badges on my blog here. I recently got selected to join the Scrapper's Delights Paper Crafts Design Team and today we're introducing the new gang with a hop! Grab some coffee, sit down relax and be ready to get those creative juices flowin!

First really quick, here's a quick little intro:

If you're here, you probably already know me and my work. I work and teach at my local scrapbook store - Scrap 'N Friends. When I'm not there, I'm at home working on various projects at home, painting, working on new pieces, graphic design, going to soccer games *gasp* I'm a soccer mom. My hubby and I will be married 21 years this May (OMG!) My daughter is pretty artsy herself - she says she wants to be an artist too when she grows up - at least for this week LOL.

I LOVE my Copics! One of my friends at the scrapbook store wanted me to take a class, so I did and now I'm hooked! (Thank you Rhonda) I've always loved markers, but these take it to a whole new level. I used to be more of a scrapbooker, but now I'd say it's all evened out. Any excuse to color! I like doing pretty simple designs, to show off the art. Speaking of which, this is what I created for my Scrapper's Delights Debut:

I just love her - she's from the Summer Breeze collection (the whole collection is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!). We all know how I love my digis - they're so versatile!. She's colored with Copics, the print paper is DCWV (as soon as I saw her I KNEW I had to use that paper!), the flourishes are My Favorite Things dies and the butterflies are from Eyelet Outlet.

Okay, now there's a fun bonus for hopping along with us today, with each blog you visit, you'll reveal more of the coupon code that will get you 50% off your purchase if you spend $3 or more - that's a steal! There's tons of images to choose from, so don't miss out. Here's my piece of the puzzle:

Your next stop is Miss Kim
Scrapper's Delights
Ami
Gloria
Jo
Kelly
Jodi
Kim
Leona
Laurie
Valou Allard
Scrapper's Delights

As if that's not enough, make sure you leave blog hop love and you could win your choice of digi from the Scrapper's Delights store. You have until March 9th to leave your comments to be entered. And I thank you in advance. :-)

Whew! That was a bit long winded! I'll stop here for now and I'll have something else for you tomorrow!

I would also like to enter this little cutie in a few challenges:
Art Impressions Stamps - Anything Goes
C.R.A.F.T. - Easter/Spring
Cute Card Thursday - Spring Fever

Until Next Time!
