Hip, Hip, Hooray! 3 Cheers for Summer!

Good Morning All!

It's time for the June Hump Day Hop! The theme is..."3 Cheers for Summer!" What's that about? Ya gotta make a Summer themed project...but there's gotta be either the number 3, or 3 of something on your project. 3 eyelets, 3 patterned papers, etc. Simple! And fun!

I used Peek-A-Boo Geisha for mine this month.I know you wouldn't necessarily think of a Geisha at the beach, but I thought her parasol looked somewhat like a beach ball. So tada...there's my the things and they're summer!

Print paper by Bo Bunny, and I used Flower Soft for the sand. Colored with Copics

Wanna hop along? Here's the list of other great blogs to check out. You'll also receive an entry into this month's prize package drawing for every comment you leave, so make sure you leave some love!

You Rock!

Good afternoon out there in blogland!

I can't believe we're rapidly approaching July and time for our next Copic Class. I hope ya'll are enjoying them, I know I am. I know I've mentioned this before, but if there's an image or technique in particular you'd like to work on, let me know and we'll do our best to make it happen.

July's class is a' la modes Rock Star by My Favorite Things. Love those girls, they're so fun! Since it's July and all I went with a patriotic color scheme. I used E000*, E01*, E02*, R24, R27, R29, B12, B14, B16, E51*, E55* and E55*. I'm not 100% sure but we may have used the Rs on a previous project as well and of course, especially since we've been getting into more colorful pieces, I've been trying to keep the "new" colors to a minimum and we can usually something work if you want to do it up a little different. Ya'll know I love when your projects don't look exactly like mine. :-)

To get in on this class give us a call at Scrap 'N Friends - (937) 833-2600, we'd love to have you! Class is only $5 for the 2 cards and you also have to option of purchasing the stamp set as well as Copic markers to do the project at 20% Off. Do you like the cards but can't make it to class? You can still get it, I always have the directions printed along with everything cut and ready to color for you. Just call and "sign-up" for the class, but let them know you want the kit only. Tada! Easy-peasy lemon squeezy!

Have a Fab Weekend!

Raise Your Flag Bombshell Challenge

Good Morning All!

I managed to get my Bombshell Stamps Challenge done reasonably on time - amazing I know. There's just been soooo much excitement going on in my little Copic world! LOL. Anyway, the challenge is "Raise Your Flag", the piece you design should have flag colors, in the shape of a flag, could have a flag in it. You get the idea. I picked the good 'ol USA and used my go-to butterflies from the Butterfly Queen set. The print paper is by Bo Bunny and the butterflies are colored with Copics.

You too can get in on the fun at www.bombshellstamps.blogspot.com and use the "linkz" at the bottom of the post. Have fun!

Until Next Time,
Jodi

Technique Tags #3 - July Baby!

Good Morning All My Blogland Friends!

I must apologize for taking so long to get these up, it's been a bit cra-zay-zee around here. (I think that's my new favorite word) But have no fear, I've managed to get myself a little organized, I know pretty funny huh? Anyway, in July we'll be working with alcohol inks, distress inks, embossing ink and glossy paper. It'll be a controlled mess (as are most of our projects). We also finally get to use the Tim Holtz patriotic stamp set that I HAD to have. :-) After all, it is July. I have some other exciting news to share, but I'm going to have to leave you guessing for a bit....

There's still room in the class, and remember, I'm offering it in both the afternoon and evening, so come have some fun with us! Call Scrap 'N Friends at 833-2600 today!

Until Next Time!
Jodi :-)
