Something Different

First off, I'd like to give a shout out to my darling girl - she entered her first art competition today at the Englewood Youth Art Fair. She loves making messes just like her mom. :-) I hope it ends up being a really good experience for her.
So, let's get back to me. (LOL) I had thought about trying to convert one of my fine art pieces into a "digi stamp" I could call my own and after weeks of saying :I should try that", I finally did. The card below is the result of my efforts and I have to say I'm happy with how it turned out. I mean, if I'm going to be Copic happy, I should at least have some work that I can say is entirely me. I will say though that I think the next one I convert is not going to have a bunch of chevrons on the side to color. I thought my eyes were gonna cross. It'll be a bit more simple. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
Until next time,
Jodi
I colored this with my Copics (of course) and used Coredinations cardstock. I got to use my fabulous Tim Holtz ruler to space out the brads (it's got little holes in the ruler so you can see what you're doing - literally because the ruler itself is clear.) The converted art is my piece entitled "Ancient Voices"

Sweet Stamping Treats $1 Digi Sale

It's time for Sweet Stamping Treat's $1 Digi Stamp Sale - Spring Things! Five digis for $1, any of which would be great for Easter cards, Mother's Day cards or just a Spring pick-me up card. I used the row of tulips for a bright Spring card from the collection and colored them with my Copics (yeay!) The print paper in the background is by Paper Studio.
Spring on over to the Sweet Stamping Treats site to purchase this set or other available sets and check out some other card design ideas!

Easter Greetings

Can ya believe it?! I've actually been able to work a month ahead on holiday projects, it only took how long? Obviously, in March we'll be working on a lovely Easter card. It was also suggested that it could be used as a sympathy card as well, you just have to remove the "Easter Greeting" sentiment. This stamp is by Outlines Rubber Stamps, I really like their artwork - they do a lot of collage type stamps that can be layered and they're one of the few companies that have southwest stamps (and of course I have them). Hmm, maybe I should turn some of my art into digi stamps.... Anyway, don't freak out about all the colors I used. Most of you that have been coming to my classes will have just about all but maybe 4 of the colors. So that said, here's this list: V12, V15, V17, E40, E42, E44, Y000, Y00, Y23, B000, G12, G14, G16. Of course by taking the class you'll get 20% off all Copic colors you order. Stop in, or give us a call at Scrap 'N Friends at 833-2600, or leave me a comment here to sign up to take any of the classes you see here.
Until next time, keep coloring!

Sweet Tweet

Hi All,
I have some news to share - I'm now part of a design team for Sweet Stamping Treats! They have some really cute digi stamps (and we all know I LOVE my digi stamps!) For my first project post, we're doing Valentine Cards. I used "Tweets Baking Cupcakes" - I'm going to say Tweets is a she and isn't SHE cute? The pattern paper is by BoBunny, which seems to be another favorite of mine as of late. The stamp is colored with - what else? Copics!

Enjoy!
